Delivered in 2017 this 16Te ‘Fast’ LARS was designed for precise, heavy duty work in shallow waters. Its main duty will be boulder clearance which made reliability and robustness while operating at high utilisation a key design goal. Lawson Engineers specialises in providing systems to make the most of our customers new and novel approaches to subsea working.

This LARS was designed from scratch to best suit the customers unique take on a common subsea task and incorporated a variety of features which have not been seen on previous machines.

We can assist technically with planning for installation and mobilisation having supported deployments around the world for as long as we have been manufacturing systems. This can include providing recommendations on sea fastening and deck loading through to planned maintenance and spares holding and even health check and trouble-shooting visits for systems on long term deployments all of which are vital considerations in getting the most out of a system and leaving your teams free to focus on the job at hand.

The system features:

  • Wider A-Frame to accommodate large ROV / Grab arrangement
  • Re-enforced deck where point loading occurs due to grab tines
  • Fast winch to reduce recovery times and support heave compensation
  • Work lights incorporated into the system to extend working hours
  • A robust machine which is easily maintained
